My name is London Barrett, and I’m a student athlete at Emmaus High School. I play soccer and run track. For Emmaus Soccer I play wing and forward and run the 400m, 800m, as well as the 4x800m and 4x400m. In my free time I love watching sporting events, looking at statistics, and doing any type of hands-on activities.
I’ve always had an interest in both sports and statistics. Yet, finding stats like which Emmaus athlete was the fastest runner or who had the most goals in a season was always hard to find.
My plan to build a website really took shape during my freshman year of track. There was a senior on the team who consistently ran 1:56 in the 800m and was on the verge of breaking the long-standing school record of 1:54.9. But some conversations started to go around that maybe the record wasn’t accurate, and no one seemed to know the true record or whose record that person broke.
This got me thinking how can I find this record to help this runner out and see if they have the school record. As well as what school records looked like before the current records. Putting records in perspective of past athletes in school history and retaining some of their legacy.
The goal of this website is to put all of those records and some of their history, all in one place.
I realized that athletes deserve reliable, accessible information, something that shows not only the current records but also the history behind them. If you ever played sports, you know records aren’t just numbers; they represent athletes, stories, and moments that shape a school’s legacy.
